Perched above the Côte d’Azur, where sky meets sea, Lucy & Alex’s wedding unfolded as a truly cinematic and architectural celebration, blending heritage, emotion, and effortless elegance.
The day began at the iconic Hôtel Belles Rives in Antibes, a timeless Riviera landmark where Lucy prepared in soft morning light, surrounded by a sense of understated luxury and history. Soon after, the couple departed in a vintage convertible, a nod to their shared passion for classic cars — a signature detail that set the tone for the entire celebration.

Their destination: the legendary Observatoire de Nice, a place not only rich in history, but deeply personal — marking a full-circle moment, as it is also where my own father works as an astronomer.

This exceptional venue, rarely opened for weddings, was chosen with intention. Both architects, Lucy & Alex were drawn to the site’s extraordinary legacy — a masterpiece shaped by Charles Garnier and Gustave Eiffel, where innovation meets artistry. From the iconic dome engineered with a hydraulic system to its celestial symbolism, the observatory offered a setting unlike any other.

The ceremony took place inside the Grand Méridien, a striking wooden space where the roof opens above the guests, revealing the sky. Surrounded by warm tones and autumnal florals, the moment felt both intimate and monumental — a perfect harmony between architecture and nature.

Guests were then invited to a cocktail overlooking Nice, where the Riviera revealed itself in golden hues. The golden hour light, soft and diffused, created an atmosphere that felt both editorial and deeply emotional.

Dinner followed inside the Grande Coupole, transformed into a refined yet immersive space. As night fell, the observatory came to life — the dome opening, and the telescope moving in a quiet, almost poetic choreography, offering guests a true “dance under the stars” experience.

The celebration continued with a high-energy after-party, where Alex — a passionate musician — took to the stage with his band, turning the night into a vibrant and unforgettable moment of connection, music, and joy.

A wedding defined by architecture, storytelling, and celestial beauty, Lucy & Alex’s celebration was more than an event — it was an experience suspended between earth and sky.
